My Beauty Favourites (Requested)

We all know that skincare is a very important part of beauty so I just had to put in my favourite nighttime moisturiser and makeup primer.

I cannot get enough of this face gel from L'Occitane's Angelica line. It is called the Hydra Vital gel and it is my absolute favourite. I use it every night after cleaning and cleansing my skin. It keeps your skin looking fresh and hydrated. It costs $36.

I swear by this Cover Fx Mattifying primer with anti-acne treatment. I have combination skin and this is legit the best primer I have ever used. It never disappoints me. It costs $38 and it is worth it.

My makeup would not be my makeup without MAC's prep+prime Fix + spray. I spray it on my brush as I'm applying my foundation and when I'm blending my contour and highlight because it makes everything so much easier. I also spray it on my face when I'm done with my makeup to set everything with a dewy finish. It costs $22.

I love the Yves Saint Laurent  (YSL) Le teint touche éclat foundation. It is a very light foundation with sheer to medium coverage. I love using it when I am going for a very natural look as it is a bit darker than what I wear when I'm going all out. I have the colour Beige 80. It costs $57.

Most people use Eye brows by MAC in the colour spiked but I am in love with Stud as my natural hair is really dark. It costs $16.

I love both the Anastasia Beverly Hills cream contour kit and the powder contour kit.

It's very obvious that I use these a lot. I have the cream kit in Deep and the regular powder kit in tan to deep. They cost $40 each. 

Now, it's time for my face powders.

     

I am completely in love with MAC's Mineralize SkinFinish Natural. My current favourite colour is new in the line and is called Dark Deepest. It is one of the new colours that is in between the colours dark and dark deep. It is a perfect match for me even when I don't have foundation on. It has both red and yellow undertones. It costs $32.

    

I recently bought this Chanel Les Beiges powder and I absolutely love it. It is a sheer powder that is great for either touching up your makeup without making it look heavy or for setting your foundation to give a luminous and natural finish. I have the colour N°40. It costs $58.

I have been a fan of Dior's bronzing powders for quite a few years now. The Nude Air Tan Powder is one I love using, as you can see from the way mine looks in the picture. As my skin tone changes at different times of the year, I either use this powder to give myself a natural bronze contour or I use it as a bronzer all over my face. I believe I have the colour cinnamon. It costs $54.

        

MAC's Mineralize SkinFinish in the colour Cheeky Bronze is a baked highlight that will have you looking like you were dipped in gold. I have put so many people I know on this because it is absolutely amazing. When applied, it gives you a glowing bronze highlight that is worthy of praise. It costs $32. 

     

MAC's powder blush in the colour Raizin is a classic and like I said before, classics never fail. This is my go to blush for every day wear and even for events when I want to look elegant. This blush is perfect for every black woman and has a natural reddish hue that looks divine on darker skin. It costs $22.

I'm currently loving MAC's bright orange coral powder blush called Devil as it is a fun colour that looks great on darker skin as well. The reddish-plum colour, Fever is also a current favourite of mine. They also cost $22 each. 

Here's a closer look.

Dior's DiorShow Maximer Lash Plumping Serum is a lash primer that also promotes longterm eyelash growth. It is lovely. I have been using this for many years now. It costs $28.50.

I live for MAC's lip pencil in the colour Nightmoth. It is a deep plum colour but I use it on basically everything. This is the only lip liner I cannot live without. It goes perfectly well with red lipstick, especially MAC's Ruby Woo. It costs $16. 

The YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick is my favourite non-MAC lipstick and it is a nude pink colour. Unfortunately, I don't know/remember what colour it is. It costs $36.

      

The MAC lipstick pictured above is my favourite nude lipstick and it is called Blankety. It is also a pinkish nude colour. It costs $16. As of recent, I can't get enough of the NYX butter glosses and my favourite one is called Tiramisu. It costs $5.

Some other favourites of mine are these Real Technique brushes, my blending sponge and my Vaseline lip balm. I cannot live without Vaseline lip balm! I put it on when my lips are dry, before putting on lipstick and every night before I go to bed.
