African Sophisticate

Hey Beautés,

Today, I give you the African sophisticate. Any worldly woman knows that there is beauty in simplicity. That elegance mixed with a love for African attire gave birth to this look. Statement maxi dress and earrings, that was all. Enjoy! 

Her thick black hair reminded me of cotton candy at a children’s party

and her full-figured body, of the mothers of Africa.

Her skin, just the right shade of bronze glistened in the afternoon Sunlight

While her almond shaped eyes, though dark, shone like stars in the night sky.

My woman, she dances barefoot in the fields as her hair bounces with the rhythm of her motion

Her tiny waist adorned by waistbeads that bounce up and down as she gyrates.

I am lost in her gaze, bewitched by her smile and won over by her words

This lady in the field, she has without a doubt, won my heart.

Her hair caressed the sides of her face like gentle kisses from sea waves to the shore

And her small but full lips were the cherry on the sundae of her celestial face.

The heavens smiled when she laughed, oh when she laughed, the heavens smiled

And while they smiled, I stood in awe of this creation.

My lover, she soothes what ails me with the touch of her slender fingers

And the feel of her smooth skin against mine like newly churned butter.

The songs she sings remind me of the joy of Africa and of my heritage

And so my heart has found joy in my African woman.
